Bathrooms can be a flooring challenge. You may want a bathroom floor that is beautiful and comfortable to walk on with bare feet, but you’ll also want a floor that’s easy to clean and can resist damage. There is one guarantee for all bathroom floors: they will get wet. For this reason, many people have rejected the idea of putting carpeting in bathrooms. There’s nothing worse than a soggy, mildewed carpet. Laminate flooring is always an excellent choice for bathroom floors and should be on your list to consider, but here are three floor types that you may not be thinking of that can give you a beautiful and durable bathroom floor.  Tile is an old standby for bathroom floors, but it can be cold and hard on bare feet. Never fear! You can have easy to clean tile floors that are also toasty warm. All you have to do is add “Radiant Heating.” Radiant heating is installed under your new flooring, including tile, wood flooring, and laminate floors. You can then set the temperature to “just right” for you and your family or turn it off when you don’t need it. Radiant heating is a great choice for bathrooms. And don’t worry about spills and water—it’s under the floor and will stay dry! Wood floors can be very attractive in bathrooms, but wood flooring can react badly to the wetness and humidity of bathrooms. If you want the look of hardwood floors in a bathroom, consider engineered wood floors. Engineered wood floors will give you the warmth and inviting look of hardwood floors but can be much more resistant to water and the high humidity of bathrooms.  Bamboo is an excellent choice for bathrooms. Bamboo is a durable wood product that is also highly rated as a green or sustainable flooring product. Bamboo floors do well with spills and humidity and properly maintained can give you a lifetime of service and beauty.  There are no restrictions about what you can use for bathroom flooring. Make a trip to your local Rite Rug flooring retailer and take a look at the options available to you, including tile, wood, and bamboo flooring.
