Mudrooms have perhaps the toughest job in the whole house. They’re up against dripping umbrellas, heavy grocery bags, smelly sneakers, and of course  — muddy paws. So it’s imperative that the flooring you choose is up for the challenge. Natural Stone For a luxe but earthy mudroom look, natural stone might be just the solution. Taken and manufactured from quarries around the world, natural stone presents a unique one-of-a-kind style. Additionally, stone with a rough texture provides a natural non-slip surface — perfect for slippery rain boots.  Tile  Ceramic and Porcelain tile are favorites for a mudroom because of their high durability and easy to clean, low-maintenance nature.  With a large selection of shades and sizes to choose from, tile can make a high-design statement, without sacrificing function.  Vinyl  This affordable and durable option is tough against wear and scratches and is basically maintenance-free. It also comes in a wide variety of styles and colors —enabling you to mimic your favorite natural flooring material at a fraction of the cost.

Whether it's for Taco Tuesday, wine night with the ladies, homework sessions, or chow time for our four-legged friends — the kitchen is truly the space we congregate in the most.  Because of that, our kitchen floors can take a bit of a beating — so it's important to choose flooring that is up for the task. Ideally our kitchen floors will be beautiful, easy, and of course, durable. Luckily, nowadays the variety of materials, colors and textures are endless — so it’s just a matter of knowing and narrowing down your options.  Ceramic, Porcelain and Stone tile are classic and smart choices for high traffic areas. They are low maintenance, yet extremely tough. Tile is a favorite amongst many for its extreme durability, and resistance to stains and moisture.  Wood is another widely popular choice for today's kitchens. A great option for those seeking the seamless lines of an open floor plan — wood feels soft underfoot and adds warmth to any space. Today's prefinished wood floors stand up especially well against heavy traffic and any accidental spills.  Vinyl is also a strong option to consider. Perhaps the easiest to maintain and the cushiest to stand on when cooking those big holiday meals — vinyl can provide a beautiful aesthetic, without breaking the bank. Just be sure to select a textured vinyl to provide traction, as this flooring can be extra slippery when wet.
