Preparing for Installation

Flooring is something you’ll probably only have installed a few times in your life. It can be exciting, given the impact new flooring can have on the look and value of your home. But like any construction project, it can also be a little stressful — unless you’re prepared.

So we’ve put together this guide to help you understand what to expect before, during, and after floor installation for the best experience.

It all starts with scheduling your installation. As long as your selected flooring is in stock, we can schedule the install immediately. If it's not in stock, your sales consultant will contact you as soon as your order arrives to schedule a speedy installation.

Depending on the flooring products you've selected, it might take two appointments to install everything. For example, if you've ordered more than one flooring type (say, carpet in the bedrooms but hardwood in the hallway), we may schedule separate appointments for each flooring type. Or if your hard flooring has arrived but your trim hasn't, you'll have the option or waiting on the trim for installation, or scheduling two separate installation appointments.

If you have any questions or need to adjust your schedule, just get in touch with your RiteRug specialist or use our customer support form.

Once your installation date is scheduled, here are a few things you can expect to happen before, during, and after installation of your new floors.
